Julie D. Adkison, PharmD

Dr. Adkison joined the Memorial Family Medicine Residency faculty in April 2002. She received a B.A. degree from the University of Texas and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston. She completed her residency with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and worked in a large public health system before joining the faculty. Dr. Adkison is responsible for educating residents on the appropriate use of pharmaceutical agents, as well as cost effective prescribing. Her areas of interest include diabetes, complementary and alternative medicine and quality improvement with regard to medication use. Dr. Adkison stays busy raising her 3 young sons, entertaining friends in her home and running an occasional half-marathon.
