MFMRP Sports Medicine Track
Our program has a robust sports medicine track that follows the AMSSM Sports Medicine Track Curriculum. MFMRP residents interested in pursuing a sports medicine fellowship are encouraged to join our track. Our residents benefit from a multitude of opportunities throughout the greater Houston area, which has professional and collegiate teams in every major sport. MFMRP Sports Medicine Track residents have the opportunity to provide sideline coverage at multiple levels including high school, collegiate, and professional sports teams. Our residents also take part in mass event coverage at the annual Chevron Houston Marathon. To enhance residents’ sports medicine clinic experience, MFMRP provides a longitudinal ultrasound curriculum utilizing the SonoSim platform. Residents can then directly transfer their new skills to their own clinic using one of the Butterfly POCUS units located in each clinical pod. MFMRP Sports Medicine Track graduates have gone on to train at top programs as our residents leave the program with the skills they need to succeed on a national level.
