Physicians at Sugar Creek (PSC)
PSC is the location where resident continuity clinic and Noon Conference take place. It is a two story, 40,000 square foot building that was converted from a furniture store in 2007, leaving a grand entryway and a giant elevator, uniting three area clinics into one patient-centered medical home. All clinics are located downstairs. The upstairs is comprised of lecture halls, training rooms, break rooms, lactation room, gym, the call center, administrative offices, and faculty offices.
The clinic area contains four clinical home pods for primary care: Green Pod, Purple Pod, Orange Pod, and Blue Pod. Each clinical pod is hosted by its designated staff members, with its own equipment and dedicated procedure room. Patients generally have a home pod with familiar faces for continuity of care.
For easy access to care as well as low-cost specialty visits for our patients without medical insurance, we host a variety of specialists in our clinic. Specialty clinics, listed below, are staffed by community specialist partners in Gold and Silver Pods on designated days of the week. The Behavioral Medicine and Nutrition offices are adjacent to Silver Pod and are active on a daily basis, providing interdisciplinary care with a Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dietitian.

Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital (MHSW)
MHSW is a community campus of the nationally ranked Memorial Hermann Health System. MHSW is a 543 bed facility with a Level IV ED, separate CV and medicine ICU facilities, designated Heart and Vascular Institute, and Neuroscience Center. MHSW also boasts a 20 bed L&D wing with a dedicated mom and baby floor with a level III NICU. This is the location where residents complete their inpatient family medicine, obstetric, newborn nursery, PGY-2 ICU, and general surgery rotations. Additionally, many of our community partners serve this hospital, so residents may round with specialists here throughout their rotations. Our inpatient family medicine service, affectionately known as “FMS” by residents and “The Wollner Service” by hospital staff members is an unopposed, 24-patient service.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital (MHSL)
MHSL is a 179 bed facility with a dedicated pediatric ED and pediatric hospital floor. This is where residents complete their PGY-1 ICU, inpatient pediatrics, and emergency pediatrics rotations.

Community Affiliates
MFMRP residents complete specialty education with our volunteer community faculty throughout Sugar Land and southwest Houston. Residents may also choose to work elsewhere for electives and selectives.
